Several resources are available to help producers identify opportunities to improve profitability in their dairy business. Those include:

Dairy Profit Team Program

Producers participating in the profit team program have seen average profit increases of $249 per cow, thanks to bringing more ideas into the planning and troubleshooting process. Funding and other support is available through the Center.

PA Dairy Tool

Penn State dairy educators have created this innovative tool to help dairy producers look at their whole farm system to identify bottlenecks to improving profitability on their farm. There is a general tool that identifies key bottlenecks, and drill-down tools to pinpoint specific causes to the bottleneck.
