The Center for Dairy Excellence’s “All Things Dairy” bi-monthly conference call aims to provide a platform for organizations and industry partners to share timely updates, resources, programs, and upcoming events relevant to the dairy community. The calls will highlight current news and developments in the dairy industry, helping dairy farmers and industry professionals stay informed, connected, and equipped with the tools you need to navigate an ever-changing marketplace.

During the August 19th call, you’ll hear from Dr. Hayley Springer and Seth Confer from the PA Department of Agriculture. To help dairy producers gain practical tips for implementing biosecurity practices during the late summer and early fall months, they will share:

  • An update on national cases of New World Screwworm (NWS) and Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in Dairy
  • Biosecurity practices that target NWS, HPAI, and other diseases of concern
  • Animal movement biosecurity tips
  • Visitor biosecurity tips
  • Animal feed biosecurity tips
  • Wildlife biosecurity tips
  • An example of what a written biosecurity plan looks like
  • How to submit your biosecurity plan for state approval and what the approval process looks like
