Based on the USDA Dairy Products report, Pennsylvania’s total cheese
production came in at 40.8 million pounds, increasing 9.7% year over year
and 6.5 % month over month. However, Pennsylvania’s butter production fell
39% from last year to 4.1 million pounds in September 2024. From August,
Pennsylvania’s butter production was down 29.3%.
