Anderson Joins Staff to Support Dairy Farmers and Next Generation of Dairy
The Center for Dairy Excellence has named Jordan Anderson the Communications and Marketing Specialist to help share resources with dairy farmers who work with the Center for Dairy Excellence. Jordan will also support the growth of the Dairy Excellence Foundation, a private 501C3 charitable organization supported by the Center team, by communicating with classrooms that are enrolled in Foundation programs. Anderson joins a team of employees who provide resources and support to Pennsylvania dairy farms and develop dairy education programming for students of all ages.
“Jordan first worked with our team as an intern in 2023, and we were impressed by her creativity, digital marketing abilities, and her passion for dairy, which is second to none,” said Jayne Sebright, Executive Director for the Center and Foundation. “We are excited to have her join our team to help us continue to broaden our reach, engagement, and impact with both our Center and Foundation audiences.”
Anderson is a recent graduate of the University of Wyoming (UW) with a bachelor’s of science in agricultural communications and a minor in agriculture business. While in college, she was President of Collegiate Farm Bureau and served as a student ambassador for the College of Agriculture, Life Sciences & Natural Resources at UW. As the owner of Jordan Anderson Photography, she has taken a love for pretty pictures and found a way to use it to promote the dairy industry. Anderson grew up in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania at Cabaret Cattle Company raising dairy cattle in 4-H, FFA and several junior breed associations. She still has show animals with her parents and sister, and she exhibits in open shows throughout the year. Anderson also volunteers as a 4-H leader and helps out at local and state FFA events.
“After interning with the Center during college, I knew the work that happens here was something I wanted to be a part of. I’m blessed with the opportunity to join a phenomenal team in serving the Pennsylvania dairy industry and beyond,” Anderson shared. “At its core, this role allows me to live out a dream of bridging the gap between producers and consumers. I look forward to growing, learning and networking with people in all aspects of the industry.”
In addition to Anderson, eight other individuals serve the Center and the Foundation. Staff members include Sebright; Melissa Anderson, dairy programs and operations manager; Emily Barge, communications and marketing manager; Allen Hess, customer and logistics specialist; Valerie Mason-Faith, risk education program manager; Karen Purnell, accounting manager; Michelle Shearer, workforce development manager; and Brittany Snyder, dairy education program manager. Dr. Charlie Gardner and Dr. Brian Reed also serve as contractors for the Center, supporting dairy transition and transformation teams coordinated through the Center.
