Looking to find a safety net and protect your margin in a marketplace that seems to always be shifting? The Dairy Margin Coverage (DMC) program is a risk management program that’s intended to serve as that safety net against volatility in either your milk price or in the price you are paying for your feed! Join us on Friday, March 21 at 1 p.m. EST for our March “Protecting Your Profits” webinar titled “Finding a Safety Net & Protecting Your Margin With DMC.”
Michael Sherman, Outreach Specialist and Beginning Farmer/Veteran State Coordinator for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Pennsylvania, will cover what dairy farmers need to know about the Dairy Margin Coverage program and how to enroll. Dairy farmers have until March 31, 2025 to enroll in the DMC Program for 2025. Farms can protect anywhere from a $4 to a $9.50 margin in 50-cent increments.
During the webinar, Michael plans to cover:
- Eligible operations
- Points to remember on production history
- Coverage levels and associated fees
- DMC sign-up reminders, including the upcoming March 31 deadline
- And more!
You can join via conference call, webinar, or podcast format. A recording will be shared after the event.
