About the Calls:

The Center for Dairy Excellence is hosting Dairy Industry Conference Calls on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. EST to provide updates on the rapidly evolving health situation with highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) affecting dairy cattle in the United States. During each call, panelists from the Department of Agriculture and other state/federal organizations will share updates on the health situation, Pennsylvania’s response, and what it means for farms. The next call will be on Wednesday, May 1, at 1 p.m.

Note: The USDA has confirmed that there is no threat to human health and milk. Dairy products remain safe to consume.

Individuals who join the weekly conference calls will be able to ask questions in real time about the disease, transmission, what it means for Pennsylvania agriculture, and how to incorporate good biosecurity protocols across the industry.

To ensure as many questions can be addressed as possible, questions can be submitted in advance of the call. Text 717-585-0766 to submit questions or email ctrdairyexcellence@gmail.com.
