Based on the USDA Crop Production Report released on Oct. 11,
Pennsylvania’s corn production forecasts dropped 12.1% from September
2023 at 106.8 million bushels to 2024 at 93.8 million. Soybean production in
Pennsylvania decreased 6% from 26.3 million bushels in 2023 to 24.6
million. However, the state’s alfalfa production estimates remain steady at
810,000 tons from October 2023 to 2024.
