Based on the NMPF Dairy Market Report, October’s U.S. fluid milk sales were
down 0.1 percent year over year, proceeding a 2.5 increase in September. The
U.S. total milkfat production increased by 5.5 percent from the prior year in
August—October, approximately two percentage points quicker than fluid milk
production over the same time period.
