USDA also released its latest Dairy Products Report earlier this week. Total cheese production is up 0.7 percent from a year ago to 1.16 billion pounds, which is down 2.6 percent or about 30 million pounds, from October. American type cheese production was up 0.7 percent from a year ago but down 0.2 percent from October, while Cheddar production was down 0.4 percent from November 2022 and 1.9 percent from
October. Butter production was down 3.7 percent from a year ago but up 1.8 percent, or 8.1 million pounds, from last month. The normal month-to-month increase for butter production in November is 9.2 million pounds.
