The USDA Cold Storage report indicated butter stocks at the end of 2019 were up 5.9 percent and the most for December since 1993, with 190 million pounds of butter in storage on December 31. Year-end cheese stocks were down 2.2 percent from a year ago to 1.32 billion pounds, falling 6.9 million pounds from November to December.
