Northern Europe’s milk production still suffers from the negative effects of
Bluetongue disease on their herds. Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, and
Belgium have all seen decreases in milk output due to the disease. However,
France, Spain, and Ireland all experienced milk production increases, which
help offset the production deficits in the other European countries.
