Based on the October 2024 USDA Milk Production report, Pennsylvania’s
milk production rose 0.6% from October 2023 at 797 million pounds to 802
million pounds in October 2024. PA milk cow numbers came in at 465,000,
down 1,000 head from last year. Production per cow averaged 1,675 pounds,
up 5 pounds from October 2023.
