Based on the USDA Cold Storage report, total natural cheese stocks decreased
by 1.0 percent year over year for July. American cheese stocks were up 2.0
percent from the same month the prior year. For July 2025, butter stocks totaled
331.4 million pounds, down 7.0 percent from last month and down 6.0 percent
from July 2024.
