Compared to the previous trading event, the Global Dairy Trade Index (GDT) fell 4.9 percent to $3,793 per metric ton (MT). Most products experienced decreases from the June 16 to the July 7 auction. Cheddar plummeted a whopping 12.3 percent from the prior event, settling at $3,900 per MT. Skim and whole milk powder fell 7.0 and 4.4 percent, respectively, over the same timeframe. Butter decreased by 5.0 percent from the last trading event to $5,336 per MT. Anhydrous milkfat dropped 3.9 percent from the prior trading event to last week’s auction.
