The Dairy Summit Will Feature Five Keynote Sessions and Several Breakout Sessions
To inspire dairy producers and industry professionals to push the limits and explore the possibilities of what growth looks like for Pennsylvania dairy, the 2027 Pennsylvania Dairy Summit is scheduled for February 3-4, 2027 at the Penn Stater Hotel & Conference Center in State College, Pa. Hosted by the Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania and Center for Dairy Excellence, the annual dairy conference brings together dairy producers and allied-industry representatives who want to envision the possibilities, exchange ideas, and start bringing their vision to life.
“Are you ready to try something new? From investment projects to strategies for boosting milk production per cow and incorporating new technology to broader plans like bringing in the next generation or finding ways to grow internally, the speakers at the 2027 PA Dairy Summit will inspire you to find the steps to take your dairy to the next level,” said Jeff Nissley, the 2027 PA Dairy Summit Chair and dairy farmer from Dauphin County, Pa. “With producer panels and discussion groups with other farmers, come with fresh mind to explore what strategies others are using to move their businesses forward. Not only that, but you can expect to see the dairy industry from a larger vantage point and better understand your stewardship role in producing nutritious food for the world.”
The 2027 Dairy Summit keynote sessions will include:
- Navigating Change with David Okerlund
- Producer Showcase: Embracing Innovation with Apple Shamrock Dairy, IDFA Innovator of the Year
- Business Showcase: Paint the Walls with Chobani!
- Reviewing Reform: Where FMMO Has Landed at the Farm Gate with Chuck Nicholson
- The Dynamics of Demand with Will Loux, Shawna Morris and Katie Brown
The Pennsylvania Dairy Summit is nationally recognized as one of the best conferences for dairy professionals and offers inspiration, education, and networking for dairy farmers in all types of production. The upcoming Summit will feature speakers and sessions for all size operations and all members of dairy teams.
In addition to dynamic keynote sessions, the Summit has several exciting, new pieces of programming planned:
- An entire animal care track (offered in Spanish, too) so dairy teams can get FARM certified
- An entire track of discussion groups for peer-to-peer conversations
- A fun-filled early evening reception, and an after-party with engaging ways to relax and visit with friends
- Breakout sessions – many featuring dairy producer panels – that are focused on change & growth, animal care, and financials
