The Center for Dairy Excellence and Penn State Extension Dairy Team are hosting a Dairy Industry Breakfast for dairy producers and agribusiness representatives on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 6:45 a.m. – 8:45 a.m. during Penn State’s Ag Progress Days.

Registration is required by August 6, 2019. Breakfast is provided, and the event is free of charge.

The Pennsylvania Dairy Investment Program provided much needed support to spur innovation and reinvestment in Pennsylvania’s dairy manufacturing and value-added industry. Secretary Russell Redding will share what the next steps for the Commonwealth will be in supporting dairy and particularly encouraging reinvestment in the processing sector. Two recipients of PDIP grants will share how they utilized dollars to provide new market opportunities for dairy farms.

Kelley Huff, president of Enchanted Acres Farm and Simpler Way Nutritionals, will share their vision for showcasing Pennsylvania dairy farm families while meeting a growing demand for dairy-based nutraceuticals, both domestically and abroad.

Turner Dairy Farms has served the Pittsburgh area since 1930. Since their founding, the focus has been on setting a higher standard of quality from the farm to the bottle. Chuck Turner, president of Turner Dairy Farms, will share their vision for helping dairy farm families be successful while delivering new and exciting products to the consumer.

The event will take place in the downstairs section of the Little Red Barn that is located on site. There is no cost to attend, but participants interested in attending must preregister for an accurate meal count. Space is limited.
