With the exception of American cheese and dry skim milk, domestic commercial use was up across many dairy products. August’s 2024 total milk consumption increased 1.6% year over year. Domestic consumption of total fluid milk products from June–August 2024 equaled 10.2 billion pounds, a 1.0% bump from June-August 2023’s numbers. Within the same timeframe, yogurt, butter, and total cheese exhibited 5.3%, 2.2%, and 1.0% increases,
respectively.
