Join the Center on July 1 and July 29 to Better Understand Your Risk Management Options
The Center for Dairy Excellence is hosting two risk management webinars this July as part of its “Protecting Your Profits” series. The first webinar will take place on Wednesday, July 1 from 12-1 p.m. Dairy farmers are invited to learn about risk management basics and discover how programs like Dairy Margin Coverage and Dairy Revenue Protection can work together.
On Wednesday, July 29 at 12 p.m., the next ‘Protecting Your Profits’ webinar will provide monthly market updates and new risk management information to help dairy farmers and consultants manage volatility in the marketplace and protect their profits on the farm. Zach Myers, Risk Education Manager with the Center, will lead both virtual events, which are available in conference call and webinar format.
“Milk price volatility has been the reality in the dairy industry for decades, and today’s volatility can be difficult for dairy producers to manage without some sort of risk management strategy,” said Myers. “There are more risk management options now than ever before to help manage low milk prices and COVID-19 market disruptions. We’ve designed these July webinars to help dairy producers understand the range of programs available to them and how necessary it is to have a risk management strategy in place.”
