The Monthly Call Will Be Held on Wednesday, February 18th at 1 pm
The Center for Dairy Excellence’s “All Things Dairy” bi-monthly conference call aims to provide a platform for organizations and industry partners to share timely updates, resources, programs, and upcoming events relevant to the dairy community. The next call is scheduled for Wednesday, February 18 at 1 p.m. EST. Learn about federal legislation updates for dairy farmers, tax information and changes to be aware of heading into tax season, and HPAI and biosecurity updates.
“As dairy producers have navigated some low points in the marketplace over the last few months, we hope you’ll join us for our February call to get real-time updates on issues that matter to the dairy industry,” shared Valerie Mason-Faith, Risk Education Manager at the Center for Dairy Excellence. “Our panelists have organized key federal legislation updates to share with you, tax changes to put on your radar as we head into tax season, and important updates on HPAI and biosecurity.”
During the February 18th call, listeners will hear:
- Federal legislation updates for dairy farmers. Maria Brockamp with the National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) will give federal legislation updates, including: 1.) What’s next for school milk after the passage of the Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act and the Dietary Guidelines 2.) 2026 Farm Bill Outlook and 3.) State of Play on Ag Labor.
- Tax information and changes to be aware of heading into tax season. As we approach tax season, Nich Leaman from Acuity Advisors and CPAs will discuss pertinent business tax changes with OBBBA, pertinent individual tax changes with OBBBA, and other important tax considerations this spring.
- Update on HPAI and biosecurity. Dr. Erin Luley from the PA Department of Agriculture will provide real-time updates on HPAI and other biosecurity threats.
