The Monthly Call Will Be Held on Wednesday, August 19th at 12 pm
The Center for Dairy Excellence’s “All Things Dairy” bi-monthly conference call aims to provide a platform for organizations and industry partners to share timely updates, resources, programs, and upcoming events relevant to the dairy community. The next call is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19 at 12 p.m. EST. Dr. Hayley Springer, Chief, Animal & Poultry Health Division, and Seth Confer, Biosecurity Program Specialist, from the PA Department of Agriculture will share practical tips for implementing biosecurity practices during the late summer and early fall months on the farm.
“With national cases of New World Screwworm and HPAI, Pennsylvania dairy producers are encouraged to stay proactive and vigilant when it comes to biosecurity on your operations,” shared Valerie Mason-Faith, Risk Education Manager at the Center for Dairy Excellence. “With shifting weather patterns as we transition from summer to fall, this is a good time to get a refresher on biosecurity tips for animal movement, on-farm visitors, animal feed, and wildlife. We hope you can join our August call to hear practical tips from the PA Department of Agriculture.”
During the August 19th call, the panelists will share:
